Are You Really Saving Time?
Last week, I talked about the amount of work it takes to coordinate communication with our IIC Partners. Time is a challenge for everyone, and we all have to choose where we can spend it most efficiently. Sure, I could sit back and not take part in the discussions or meetings, but I know I wouldn't get any of the real benefits of the partnership - news, insights, personal relationships... The same philosophy can be applied to the search process. You can conduct a quick search and locate an adequate candidate for any role, but this approach is more likely to land you right back in the same position a short time later. Our goal is to find the ideal candidate, and the only way to do that is by conducting a full search of the best talent in the industry - not just those actively seeking or previously known to us. By assessing each candidate for cultural fit and verifying their educational and professional credentials, we can uncover potential issues that can lead to termination or resignation. It takes a little longer than contingency, but we think it's far more effective. You can always cut corners and save some time right now, but you have to ask yourself, are you really saving time in the long run? Graham Carver, President
